Symptoms are NOT root causes...

Have you been told you have:

A Leaky Gut?
Adrenal Fatigue?
SIBO?
A Hormonal Imbalance?

Today I just want to clarify that while these issues are very real, they are also a symptom of something bigger.

We need to really understand the importance of addressing root causes to break these toxic cycles of illness in our bodies. Let's talk about the difference between the two.

The Difference Between Symptoms and Root Causes

Symptoms are the body's way of communicating that something is wrong. They are the outward expressions of internal imbalances, such as fatigue, headaches, digestive issues, or skin problems. These are merely signals pointing to underlying issues, not the problems themselves.

Root causes, on the other hand, are the underlying factors that lead to the manifestation of symptoms. These can include hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, chronic stress, or exposure to toxins. By identifying and addressing these root causes, we can break the cycle, remove the problems, and better understand our bodies instead of settling for another temporary relief.

Why Treating Symptoms Alone Doesn't Work...

Think about it like this, taking painkillers for chronic headaches may alleviate the pain, but it won't solve the root cause, such as a hormonal imbalance or poor posture. Over time, this can lead to a cycle of dependency on medications and potential worsening of the underlying condition.

When we treat symptoms without understanding the root cause can mask the true nature of our health issues. This masking effect can prevent us from recognizing the severity or progression of the underlying problem, potentially leading to more severe health issues in the long run!

Restoring Energy and Healing

To achieve lasting health, it is essential to adopt a holistic approach that focuses on uncovering and addressing root causes. This involves looking at the body as an interconnected system, where each part affects the whole. Natural and holistic health practices, such as energy testing, functional medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle changes, aim to restore balance and promote the body's innate healing ability.

Comprehensive evaluations to identify the root causes of your symptoms are necessary. Personalized supplement and lifestyle plans can then be developed to address these underlying issues, leading to true healing and long-term wellness.

True health is not just the absence of symptoms but the presence of balance and vital energy.

It's time to decide if your health issues are symptoms of something bigger.

Let's break it down. If we continue to put bandaids on symptoms—we will continue to be unhealthy and have a domino effect of illness and disease.

So where do we start? Make a list.

Write out your current symptoms, even if the list feels silly or "unscientific" or you don't know what to call it, use your own words and describe the issues.

That list is now your roadmap to finding a foundational issue. Upstream from there—we'll find that root cause. And don't worry! This isn't easy to do. You haven't been "not trying", the fact is there's never just one root cause.

We're all human and we live big lives. Stuff happens to us and we get exposed to LIFE every day and we can't control every aspect of it.

So start there. Make a list. Take it to a trusted healthcare provider or you're always welcome to reach out to me.

Let's move past talking about "what's wrong" and figure out the why.

And remember if you're feeling overwhelmed by ALL the information out there you can always reach out to schedule a time to chat. That's what I'm here for!

I'll also start linking some of the products at the bottom of these emails to show what I'm using in my home, but if you're ever curious for suggestions—I'm just an email away!

We're going to talk about some interesting research on drainage pathways in the body next week and you're not going to want to miss it. See you next week!
